“Beautiful Thailand” campaign launched

TAT confident that tourism sector will recover by March

“Beautiful Thailand” is the name of a new campaign just launched by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as it recovers after the floods. Initially it’s essentially a communications campaign, attempting to engage media around the globe to show how most of the country’s sights and attractions and travel infrastructure are continuing to work as before.
“The TAT is confident that from the year-end holiday period until March 2012, the second half of the high season, the tourism sector will have recovered. In the past, the Thai tourism sector has come back quickly when faced with similar situations. This clearly shows travellers’ preference for and loyalty to the Thailand brand,” said TAT Governor Suraphon Svetasreni.
