150 passengers escape as plane skids off runway

Allegiant Air aircraft flying from Florida to Ohio skids into grass

Around 150 passengers flying Allegiant Air from St Petersburg, Florida to Ohio escaped injury when their aircraft skidded off the runway at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport late on Monday. One possible reason for the accident was that the plane, which skidded into the grass, had suddenly taken a turn that was too sharp. However, none of the passengers or crew received any injuries. They had to be bussed to the terminal.
