Airline urges passengers to postpone their trips
As reported, a call for strike action by several French air traffic controllers’ unions is disrupting air traffic from today until the end of the day on Thursday. DGAC, the French Civil Aviation Authority, has asked airlines to adapt their flight schedules at certain French airports.
Today, Air France expects to transport all its customers on long-haul flights to and from Paris, and to adapt its short and medium-haul flight schedule. However, Air France is recommending its customers with reservations on short and medium-haul flights to postpone their trips during this period. Last-minute delays and cancellations can be expected, the airline says. Air France is offering passengers the possibility to postpone their trips at no extra cost.
Airport teams and Air France commercial staff have been mobilised to keep customers informed, the carrier adds. In all cases, customers are recommended to check flight schedule information under the Flight Schedule Updates section at AirFrance.com, which is being updated in real time, before going to the airport. Passengers can also get information at mobile.airfrance.com, Air France’s apps, or by texting the flight number via SMS to the number 63654.
