Air Greenland boosts sales in Italian‬ market‬

Partnership with SAS makes ticketing simpler
A growth of 50% of tickets sold in 2015, and the aim to maintain the trend for 2016. These are Air Greenland’s figures in the Italian market, a carrier that has been sold in agencies in Italy for two years now.
“We did some intensive technical work to let the carrier BSP and then be available in the agencies,” says Antonio Contardi, sales and marketing manager for Tal Aviation Group. “But later we focused on the possibility of having one ticket only, thanks to the partnership with SAS.”
Flights from Italy to Greenland are now possible with a connection offered by SAS in Copenhagen, after which passengers reach their Arctic destination.
“From Milan we sell a single ticket. We offer four flights per week in summer, which will soon become eight,” Contardi adds.
