Airlines launch CPH route to Dutch city

Slovenian and Estonian carriers open way to Groningen
A new route between Copenhagen and the Dutch university city of Groningen launched on Monday morning – operated by Estonian airline Nordica in cooperation with Adria Airways of Slovenia.
The opening of the new route, to be flown 11 times a week (twice daily on weekdays), was marked by a ceremony at Copenhagen Airport’s Gate B6, where Dutch Ambassador Henk Swarttouw gave a speech to passengers and guests.
The passengers then boarded the 49-seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft for the 474-kilometre flight to the northern Netherlands.
Nordica, Estonia’s national flag carrier founded in 2015 after the collapse of Estonian Air, is operating the route in cooperation with Star Alliance member Adria Airways, so that passengers can transfer easily in Copenhagen to the long-haul routes of SAS and other airlines.
