Amadeus and Berg-Hansen in long-term deal

The two companies are working together on innovation and new solutions that can lead to better customer service.

Amadeus says it is renewing its agreement with one of Norway’s largest travel agencies, Berg-Hansen, calling the deal “a new chapter in a long-term and strategic cooperation”.

Berg-Hansen and Amadeus have been collaborating since the early 1990s, and now the relationship is being further strengthened “by investing in a broader future through a new agreement and a new strategic partner programme,” Amadeus says.

Amadeus and Berg-Hansen have in recent years worked together on innovation, among other things on new solutions that can lead to better customer service.

“The travel industry is in a phase of rapid change, and a long-term partnership and collaboration makes us better prepared for the changes that are underway, so we can meet them with modern technology and new innovative solutions,” says Ulla Persson, general manager at Amadeus.

“Our partnership with Berg-Hansen is an important step in our partner strategy and at the same time a way for Berg-Hansen to guarantee its customers the best service.”

The goal of the renewed agreement is to strengthen the collaboration and “further anchor the companies’ partnerships to achieve longer-term business goals and improved services”.

“Amadeus is an important partner,” says Per Arne Villadsen, CEO of Berg-Hansen. “Together, we challenge and complement each other with the goal of ensuring that we are always at the forefront of digital and intelligent solutions for our customers.”

He adds: “Our biggest competitive advantage is to be able to offer customers the best prices and a wide range of travel services. This will be our main focus in the new agreement with Amadeus.”

Amadeus’ tech solutions are aimed at helping travel agents find and plan their clients’ travels through search engines, charter travel agencies, airlines, airports, hotels, rental cars and trains.
