Internet giant Amazon is reportedly preparing to launch its own travel service. According to Skift.com, the retailer has been sounding out hotels with the new proposition, set to launch on January 1.
The initial roll-out looks set to focus only on hotels. Skift reports that hotels signed up to the new service would load up details onto an Amazon network and then pay the US firm 15% commission.
