BCD Travel takes over Ticket Biz

Dutch business travel firm expands in Nordics
As part of its growth strategy, the Dutch company BCD Travel is increasing its presence in the Nordic market. It has announced the acquisition of the Swedish and Norwegian business travel agency Ticket Biz.
“With its good reputation and focus on the market for business trips, the acquisition of Ticket Biz complements our business culture and growth targets very well,” said Stewart Harvey, BCD Travel’s president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“This acquisition reflects our continued desire for growth for the benefit of our customers and also helps to secure our position as the leader in business travel.”
Ticket Biz is a strong regional player in the Nordic market. With around 150 employees it handles business trips, meetings and incentive trips. It has a large customer base and an annual turnover of nearly €180 million.
Ticket Biz ‘previous owner, Braganza, a Swedish holding company with activities in the field of holiday travel, theme parks and airlines, will remain a minority shareholder after the acquisition.
