Biggest aviation conference in northern Europe

airBaltic hosts third annual North Hub Riga aviation conference

The Latvian national airline airBaltic is hosting the third annual aviation conference North Hub Riga today. With over 200 delegates from airlines, aircraft manufacturers, authorities and the media participating, the event’s organisers say that North Hub Riga has become the biggest aviation conference in Northern Europe. This year, the conference will focus on innovations and generating new revenue streams. The speakers represent aircraft manufacturers including Bombardier, Irkut Corporation and Airbus, as well as policymakers and authorities including the European Commission, airlines and airline organisations, airports such as Munich and Yekaterinburg and other aviation experts.
“Due to its geographical location and flight connections with over 80 cities in Europe, Russia/CIS and the Middle East, Riga is an excellent meeting place for both Western and Eastern aviation professionals, politicians and authorities,” Bertolt Flick, president and chief executive of airBaltic, commented.
