Biggest operators, agencies, hotels in Latvia named

Tez Tour, Novatours, Latvia Tours are sector leaders in 2014
Latvia’s largest travel agencies and tour operators by turnover are still Tez Tour, Novatours and Latvia Tours, according to estimates drawn up by news agency BNS. However, their results for 2014 vary.
Tour operator Tez Tour tops the list with a turnover of €22.5 million in 2014, up 4% from 2013. Its profit rose 42.4% to €645,600. Second is its long-time rival Novatours with €19.6 million in turnover, up 3.5%, and a profit of €333,900, three times smaller than in 2013.
The most successful travel agency on the list is Latvia Tour with €17 million in sales, down 1.7% from 2013, and €332,200 in profit, up 37.6%.
The ten largest travel companies also include Averoja (€14 million in turnover), Baltijas Celojumu Grupa (€13.2 million), Begonija (€11.85 million), Kolums (€10.5 million) and Impro Celojumi (€10 million).
Top hotel firm in Latvia is Viesnica Latvija, owner of the Radisson Blu Latvija and ESPA Riga, with a turnover of €21 million in 2014, down 1.4%. Second is BHH Investments, operator of the Baltic Beach Hotel in the coastal resort of Jurmala, with €12.4 million in turnover, up 7.8%, and Mogotel, operator of the Wellton-branded hotels, with €9.8 million in turnover, up 69%.
