Bomb threats on Nordic flights to Brussels

Planes from Oslo and Stockholm searched on arrival
Two SAS flights from Nordic capitals to Brussels suffered bomb threats last night, but each landed without incident.
The threats were not directed at the SAS flights in particular but at all planes on their way to Brussels’ Zaventem Airport. That included the flights from Oslo Gardermoen and Stockholm Arlanda.
“It was interpreted that the threats were directed towards incoming flights to Brussels, and we had two planes on their way in at that time,” Karin Nyman, SAS communications director, told the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
SAS was told about the threats by Belgian air traffic control while both flights were in the air at around 19:00. On arrival the planes were searched by police. Traffic to and from Zaventem continues to run as normal.
