Cambodia gets longest route – to Germany

Condor Air launches nonstop Frankfurt-Siem Reap service

Cambodia has received its first flight on what is now its longest, nonstop scheduled route. The German carrier Condor Air has launched a weekly Frankfurt-Siem Reap service, using a 270-seat Boeing 767-300. The flight arrives in Siem Reap, gateway to the country’s Angkor region, on Saturday mornings before departing for Phuket.
Siem Reap International Airport is on course to pass the two million passenger mark by December. An upgrade program is due for launch in early 2013, doubling the airport’s capacity to five million passengers.
