Carlson Wagonlit creates new Nordic-Eastern region

Company puts Scandinavia with Russia, Baltics, Balkans and Ukraine

Carlson Wagonlit Travel has created a new region that includes the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe. This means that the Nordic countries are placed together with Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Slovenia. From 1 January 2012, Patrick Andersen – who is currently responsible for CWT Nordic countries – will be responsible also for Eastern Europe. Since 2009, CWT says that Andersen has helped the company to develop and implement a successful Nordic strategy, focusing on growth and innovation.
“I look forward to our strong position in Eastern Europe being strengthened further in the future,” Hakan Ericsson, president of CWT EMEA & Latin America, said in a statement.
