China Airlines becomes full SkyTeam member

Taiwan-based CAL becomes a full alliance member today

China Airlines (CAL), a Taiwan-based international airline, today becomes a full member of the SkyTeam Alliance, the world’s second biggest airline alliance. CAL will be the first airline based in Taiwan to gain membership of an international alliance. It will be welcomed as the 15th member of SkyTeam at a ceremony at Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport, at which executives from all of the other members and four pending members will be present. China Eastern and its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines officially joined the SkyTeam alliance in June.
