Costa Romantica to undergo “restyling”

Complete restyling will transform vessel into “Costa neoRomantica”

The Costa Romantica is to get a complete renovation between October and the end of January 2012, which Costa Cruises says will transform it into a completely new ship: the “Costa neoRomantica”. The cruise company has placed the new order with San Giorgio del Porto shipyard in Genoa for major restyling operations, investing around €90 million. The restyled and renamed “Costa neoRomantica” will be ready by the end of January 2012. The extensive makeover will include the construction of new areas and the introduction of services that Costa says represent a major evolution in its product. “The objective is to offer a renewed cruise experience,” the company says, “the perfect way to satisfy the needs of a special clientele target.” New areas on the ship will include a wine bar with 100 different labels and cheeses from around the world, a coffee bar, a show lounge bar with dancefloor, a cabaret and a nightclub.
