Cruise ship singer found dead in cabin

Incident happened aboard Regent cruise ship

A 24-year-old American woman believed to be the singer in the Regent Seven Seas Voyager’s on-board band has been found dead in her cabin. The singer apparently fell and knocked her head during a rehearsal, but said she was OK. When she didn’t appear the following day, her colleagues went to her cabin and found her dead.
Police in Darwin, Australia, at first treated the death as suspicious and carried out an autopsy. However, they later ruled out foul play and the ship was allowed to continue to Bali. The cruise line has not disclosed the singer’s identity.
One passenger told Cruise Critic: “This has been a rough cruise, spent 2 days in Brisbane because of a cyclone, Had to bypass the Great Barrier Reef, missed the overnight in Cairns. Made Darwin. Delayed because of the unfortunate accident now we are losing one of the days in Bali and shortened time in Semarang.”
