Cruises based on musical tastes offered

Agents booking cruises may do well by asking about clients’ musical tastes

“Music cruises” are bringing together clients with similar musical tastes. Special cruises, targeting either the leisure or MICE segments, are becoming available catering for blues to jazz to rock. Royal Caribbean is offering a seven-night Beatles Tribute Cruise onboard Oasis of the Seas in February 2012, coinciding with the 48th anniversary of the Liverpool band’s first appearance on US TV. Carnival Destiny will host a cruise lasting five days called the Kiss Kruise: Wet, Wild, & Rockin’. Agencies dealing in specialty cruise events are opening up, such as Music in M’Ocean Events in the US.
