Airport workers found the body in plane’s landing gear
A body discovered in the undercarriage of a KLM aircraft at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport was that of a missing 17-year-old boy from Norway, Dutch police have confirmed.
Airport workers found the body in the landing gear on Thursday soon after the aircraft landed from Sandefjord. The body is being returned to the boy’s family.
The teen, who suffered from a form of autism, went missing on Wednesday. Cause of death was a lack of oxygen; no crime is suspected.
KLM and Sandefjord airport and Norwegian civil aviation officials are investigating how he could have avoided security and hide undetected.
