First daily A380 service to Germany to fly Munich from November 25
Emirates is bringing forward its first daily A380 service to Germany by serving Munich from November 25, nearly five weeks earlier than expected. The double-decker was originally set to replace EK 49, one of two daily services to Munich, from January 1. “After further reviewing our forthcoming A380 deliveries and expected demand, we have decided to bring forward [the aircraft’s] deployment to Munich by more than a month,” Salem Obaidalla, the airline’s senior VP for commercial operations in Europe and Russia, explained.
Last month, Emirates, which is building an army of A380s, took one of the super-jumbos to Hamburg on a one-off commercial flight as part of the airport’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
