Around 100 long-haul planes on airline’s shopping list
As many as 100 long-haul aircraft are on Emirates’ shopping list in the very near term, according to an article in the Financial Times.
The Gulf airline, which recently launched its daily service to Stockholm, is reported to be in advanced talks with Boeing to buy up to 100 long-haul planes with a total price of up to $30 billion.
Emirates is also considering further deals with Airbus for A380s and A350s.
The airline stresses that no final agreements have been reached, and the FT says that Boeing and Airbus are both refusing to comment. But details of the orders are expected at the Dubai Air Show next month.
