Emirates to hire 11,000+ staff by March 2016

Emirates received half a million online job applications in 2014
The scale of the expansion of the “big three” Middle Eastern carriers – Dubai’s Emirates, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways and Doha-based Qatar Airways – and their challenge to European and US carriers can be sensed from the latest new from Dubai.
Emirates Group aims to hire more than 11,000 new employees, equivalent to around 6% of its workforce, by March 2016 as it adds 20 planes to its fleet and expands its flight operations, engineering, ground handling, airport services and corporate functions.
But there is no shortage of job applicants. Last year, Emirates received almost half a million online job applications.
