Qantas Airways superjumbo hits extreme turbulence over India

Extreme turbulence in Indian airspace hit a Qantas Airways superjumbo flight on its way from London to Sydney via Singapore over the weekend. Seven passengers were treated for cuts and bruises as a result of the incident, an airline spokesperson commented.
Flight QF32 carrying 450 passengers struck turbulence on Saturday. Four of the injured passengers were treated in a hospital in Singapore and the others at a medical centre, but all were subsequently discharged. The flight then continued to Sydney, 24 hours behind schedule.
