Final edition of TTG Nordic print magazine

Last Stand By / TTG Nordic magazine – but we continue online
It is with great sadness, but also a certain amount of realism, that we publish Stand By / TTG Nordic printed magazine for the last time on June 6th 2017.
Our magazine has been published since 1957 – first as Take Off and later as Stand By. Over the years, we have kept employees in the travel industry up-to-date through news reports, interviews, trends, background stories and portraits of the industry’s most important personalities.
Our focus and efforts have been to publish a magazine with a professional layout that is both interesting to read and provide a feeling of immersion. Hence the sadness we now feel.
In recent years the media market has changed significantly and many readers have switched from print to online. The new sales channels for our advertisers have meant declining sales for our printed magazine based solely on advertising revenue. Hence the realism.
We continue online
On the other hand, we are looking forward to focusing our time and efforts on standby.dk, takeoff.dk and ttgnordic.com. And naturally the same goes for our VIP Lounges and the annual Danish Travel Awards.
We have built up a strong presence online, and we continue to provide daily news journalism about everything relevant to and about the travel industry.
11,700 subscribers receive our daily newsletters and the three news sites have 75,000 unique users each month.
Gitte Nielsen will continue in sales, and we will have the same dedicated journalists Henrik Baumgarten, Ejvind Olesen, Kitt Andersen, Flemming Juul and Howard Jarvis who will write the articles together with freelancers.
During May, we will keep you informed about the new initiatives on our news sites. The themes from the printed magazine will also be part of our online universe, and will contain both news and background articles on Airlines, Leisure Travel, Cruise, Hotel & MICE, Technology and Travel Management.
We look forward to continuing to be your preferred supplier of news in the global travel industry.
