New hyper-luxury operator brand targets only Chinese tycoons
A new hyper-luxury travel brand aiming at a lucrative market niche – only Chinese tycoons with disposable assets of more than RMB10 million (€1.2 million) – has just been launched. HHtravel has been created by the Chinese online travel giant Ctrip, ezTravel Taiwan and Wing On Travel Hong Kong. Among its ultra high-end products are a 2013 round-the-world tour in 80 days across five continents, with highlights including the legendary Brazil Carnival street festival, a cruise to the South Pole, visits to the pyramids of Egypt and the Taj Mahal of India, Michelin-star meals, luxury stays in castles and palaces – and watching the Northern Lights in Finland. The tours are limited to 15 participants.
Among 50 other packages offered by HHtravel are world heritage tours and the world’s most luxurious train journeys.
