Finnair adds flights to Lapland for winter 2016-17

More flights via Helsinki to Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo
Finnair announced this morning several new direct flights to connect travellers to three winter destinations in northern Finland ‒ Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo ‒ for Christmas 2016 and the winter 2016-17 season.
Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo attract thousands of tourists every year, offering a range of winter activities from ice fishing, seeing the Northern Lights and skiing, to husky safaris and reindeer sleigh rides.
Finland’s national carrier is connecting passengers to the three destinations via Helsinki with several weekly connections. It says that timetables are designed specifically to support smooth connections from Europe and Asia.
“We see increasing demand from both Europe and Asia to the winter resorts of Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo, with capacity of almost 140,000 seats for the winter season 2016-2017 to these destinations,” says Petri Vuori, Finnair’s vice president for network planning.
