Finnair to open new winter route to far north

ATR to fly between Helsinki and Enontekiö on Saturdays
Finnair will operate a new weekly route to Enontekiö in the outermost northwest of Finland during early 2016, taking snow-sports fans to Lapland.
Enontekiö has around 300 kilometres of skiing trails and guarantees Finland’s longest skiing season. It also boasts the chance of seeing the Northern Lights on three out of every four nights in winter.
Due to its proximity to the borders of Sweden and Norway, daytrips to these two countries are also possible.
Finnair, which carries more than nine million passengers annually and connects 17 cities in Asia with more than 60 destinations in Europe, will fly between Helsinki and Enontekiö every Saturday with an ATR aircraft, from February 20 to April 9, 2016.
Flights will depart Helsinki at 07:25, arriving at 09:40, and depart Enontekiö at 10:10, returning to HEL at 12:25.
