As a first step in a mass roll-out to take place throughout 2012, the first hotels to get the new ibis Styles brand have been putting up their new signs in December. Accor announced a project to revamp its economy brands back in September, in which the all seasons brand becomes ibis Styles, Etap becomes ibis budget and ibis remains simply ibis. “ibis Styles” is defined as “a cheery brand” that “captures the values of pleasure and modernity” while remaining economical. The implementation of the three brands will be completed across the worldwide network in early 2013.
Among the first to erect the ibis Styles signs are the Zaragoza Ramiro I and Arnedo La Rioja hotels in Spain, the ibis Styles Berlin Ost in the city’s Friedrichshain district near Alexanderplatz and the ibis Styles Evry Cathédrale.
