Flexible new MICE venue opens in Prague

At the Cubex Centre Prague, it’s even possible to hang a car or heavy technology from the ceiling.

A stylish new centre for meetings and events has opened in the Czech capital with capacity for more than a thousand people and a number of multifunctional halls and rooms.

Cubex Centre Prague has evolved over three years and recently hosted its first clients and events, for its partners Panasonic Business and AV Media which invited their own clients to experience the centre’s potential. It also hosted the city’s first conference focused on tourism.

Cubex is located in the regenerated former industrial Pankrac area close to the city centre, in a new building named the Trimaran in the vicinity of the City Conference Centre and the large Arkády shopping mall.

The main hall with a capacity of 1,000 people can be divided into three separate rooms with soundproof partitions and is complemented by smaller halls and lounges, with a total capacity of 1,200 people. Even the foyers can be used for events, including the largest, which has a 102m2 projection screen.

The speciality of the new venue is exhibiting cars, as thanks to rigging points with an extremely high load capacity in the ceiling, it is possible to hang a car – or heavy technology or advertising element – anywhere in the hall.

Versatile venue
“I think this new venue will not only influence the congress and conference scene in Prague but also attract the general public thanks to the public events that will take place here,” says Dagmar Alexandra Bernardova, the centre’ marketing manager.

“These are spaces that offer unlimited uses. We can organise congresses, conferences, balls and gala dinners, or sports and cultural events. We are already preparing ourselves for organising a varied portfolio of events for very important clients.”
