Football boosts growth at Oslo Airport

Airport reports encouraging passenger rises

Travel from Oslo Airport continues to climb, with exactly 1,788,373 passengers passing through in November – an increase of 3.9% compared to the same month last year. International traffic is seeing the biggest growth, increasing by 5.1% during the month, while domestic traffic grew by a more modest 2.8%. The number of aircraft movements in November was 19,927, up 2.4% year-on-year.
However, among the ten most popular routes, Oslo-Tromsø grew the most, surging upward by 18.3%. The airport explained this by pointing to Tromsø IL football club’s participation in a cup final match at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on November 25.
