Frankfurt opens winter-coat storage

Passengers pay €0.50 per item a day to feel lighter

Passengers flying from Frankfurt to spend Christmas or winter holidays in warmer weather will not have to lug their heavy winter coats with them. They can instead leave them behind at a luggage storage service in Frankfurt for €0.50 a day and head south with a weight off their shoulders. The service is open, from today, to all passengers departing up until January 13, regardless of when they return.
The winter coat storage idea is part of a “Great to have you here!” program that Frankfurt Airport has launched to introduce a range of service improvements. However, Frankfurt is not the first to offer such a scheme. Among other examples, Korean Air also offers a coat-storage service at Incheon Airport during the winter season.
