Games inspire Marriott to open three hotels in Sochi

Marriott schedules luxury properties to open in Sochi, Russia for 2014

Marriott International has announced that it will open three new hotels in Sochi, Russia, where the 2014 Winter Olympic games are due to take place. The hotels are the 150-room JW Marriott Sochi Golf Resort, expected to open early 2014; the 398-room Marriott Krasnaya Polyana Hotel, expected to open late 2013; and the 345-room Courtyard by Marriott Sochi Plaza Hotel, expected in late 2013. The hotels have been negotiated under franchise agreements and will be managed by Interstate Management Services.
Located on the Black Sea, Sochi is described by Marriott as “Russia’s only subtropical resort city” and is one of its biggest and most popular resort destinations. The 2014 Winter Olympic games will of course focus the world’s spotlight on the city.
