Garden concert venue to open at Tivoli

Venue to feature rare flowers and exotic trees
Denmark’s famous amusement park Tivoli has been creating a new attraction for several years. Finally it will come to fruition in the spring – a concert venue with rare flowers and exotic trees.
The leafy new chillout zone, called Orangeriet, will open in April, with Tivoli describing it as “classic, relaxed, exotic and nostalgic”.
Replacing the Harmony Pavilion between the Chinese Tower and the Nimb Terrace, “Orangeriet will include a stage hosting music every day, and there will be a plant expert at hand to offer advice,” said Tivoli press officer Torben Plank. “Tivoli is constantly reinventing itself, and we have a long history in botany,” he added.
Architect Jesper Andersen claims he designed the DKK 20 million (€2.69 million) area to be “a treat for the senses that exudes both tradition and innovation”.
