German-speaking markets excite Silversea

Silversea expands German-speaking management team

Silversea has strengthened its presence in the German-speaking cruise market with two appointments.

Tina Kirfel joins as general manager and sales & marketing director Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She will report directly to Steve Odell, president EMEA & Asia Pacific, and will be based at Silversea’s Frankfurt office.

Additionally, to increase the company’s focus on the German-speaking markets, Andreas Nuessel currently sales manager for Switzerland and Austria, has been promoted to the new position of regional sales director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will report directly to Kirfel.

“The EMEA region holds unlimited potential for Silversea, especially in the German-speaking markets where we opened a dedicated Silversea sales office in Frankfurt in 2012,” Odell said.

EMEA encompasses all regional markets with the exception of the UK and Ireland, managed from Silversea’s London office.
