Growth trend in US travel to Europe

Europe’s most significant market remains the USA

US tour operators are predicting that travel from US to Europe will resurge in the coming years. This is the main finding of a new report on US outbound travel by the World Tourism Organization and the European Travel Commission. The report’s authors say that the findings offer reassuring insights into the US outbound market, indicating that despite of the downward revision of the national economic growth forecast, US travellers will gradually return to Europe in growing numbers.
“Although the industry’s focus has turned towards emerging markets like the BRIC countries, we should not forget Europe’s most significant market, the USA,” Petra Hedorfer, president of the European Travel Commission, commented.
