Helsinki Airport security line helps families

Security for families makes security control faster

A security line at Helsinki Airport’s Terminal 2 is dedicated especially to families travelling with children, making security control faster and the journey less stressful – for all passengers.

The airport says it is wise to prepare for the security control in advance by packing luggage correctly. Families are advised to check before leaving home what items they are permitted to take on board.

Food and drinks needed during the flight for children aged under two are allowed on the plane. But when entering security control they need to be removed from the hand luggage and shown to security control.

Children’s toys should also go through the X-ray line. They will be returned after being checked.
