High alert at tourist hotspots in Bali

Police in Bali on high alert after suspected terrorists killed

Police and security forces in Bali have intensified their surveillance in tourist hotspots. This follows security forces killing five suspected terrorists on Sunday evening. Popular tourist destinations on the island are believed to still be under threat from terrorism. Chief among them is Seminyak where the popular La Vida Loca bar has been named as a possible terrorist target.
“We have beefed up security in all places around Bali especially in strategic places such entertainment spots, hotels and malls,” a Bali police spokesman told AFP. “What’s clear is, we are on alert.”
