HotelConnect failure could hurt agents and holidaymakers

Travellers and agents should check their accommodation bookings

Hundreds of travellers and tour operators could find themselves penniless for a second season after HotelConnect collapsed.
The company, which sold accommodation to agents and directly to travellers, cancelled 6,400 bookings.
400 direct consumer bookings were made on HotelConnect website, which was bonded by ABTA. Agents made 6000 bookings, and loss may be incurred for booking replacements. Holidaymakers may well have to pay again as well.
ABTA advised travellers and tour operators to contact their hotel to confirm their booking.
