Hotels attract business guests with exclusive lounges

A new type of hotel perk is on the table for business travellers

Club lounges are taking the place of room upgrades and bigger beds as the main attraction in the fight for business guests. Following the example of airlines, high-end international companies and brands such as InterContinental and Hyatt are unveiling new and exclusive club lounges, concierge lounges and executive lounges. Club lounges are nothing new, but now they are a priority for hotels that are upgrading their properties.
A free meal, access to a private meeting space and taking a shower before the room is ready are among the perks of this kind of service. In the US, almost double the number of hotels are offering exclusive lounges compared to last year.
