Hotly awaited US theme-park rides to open in 2016

New rides to be based on Harry Potter, King Kong, Frozen, etc.
Theme parks are already hyping new rides due to be unveiled in 2016. USA Today highlights the best.
Top of the list is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Universal Studios Hollywood, California. It will use a robotic arm vehicle and projected high resolution 3D media to whisk muggles away on an adventure with Harry and his pals.
“The queue leading to the ride will be an adventure in itself,” the article says. “Guests will enter Hogwarts Castle (which is typically forbidden for muggles) and encounter oil paintings that spring to life, an indoor snowstorm and other magical moments.”
Also highly awaited is Skull Island: Reign of Kong at Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando, Florida – a wild ride where visitors see the giant ape fight dinosaurs and other enormous animatronic creatures.
Meanwhile, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis at Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois, will be a DC Comics-themed ride featuring “sophisticated roving motion base vehicles, 3D imagery, stunning animatronics, interactive laser guns and other theme park trickery” where “citizen recruits will be helping Superman, Batman and their Justice League buddies defeat The Joker and Lex Luthor in their scheme to take down the Man of Steel’s adopted city,” USA today writes.
Frozen Ever After will be the new attraction at Disney World’s more staid edutainment park, Epcot, where guests travel by boat to Arendelle, the North Mountain, Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace and other locales from the massively popular animated film.
The other much looked forward-to rides listed are all in California: the Frozen Stage Musical at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim; Lego Ninjago, a ride at Legoland California, Carlsbad; Mass Effect at California’s Great America, Santa Clara; and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters at Disney California Adventure, Anaheim.
