Hurtigruten expands in US and Canada

Sailings include Miami, New York, Halifax departures
Norway’s cruise and ferry line Hurtigruten will have a major North American presence next year, with a new season starting in early April aboard the 318-passenger MS Fram.
The ship will depart Miami following a winter season in Antarctica, sailing northwards up the east coast to offer sailings between New York and Halifax, with key port calls in Boston, Newport, St John’s and other Canada and New England stops.
Built in 2007, Fram will make six US and Canada cruises next spring before moving on to Iceland, Greenland and Northern Europe for the summer.
It then returns to Halifax, and from October 8 will sail a 12-night cruise to Miami with calls in US ports including New York and Charleston.
