Hurtigruten to double North American clients

Company recruits new managing director for the region

The Norwegian cruise company Hurtigruten has plans to double its business from North America over next three years, according to a company newsletter. It is recruiting a new managing director for the region to be based in Seattle.

Bo Fridsberg, who has been with Hurtigruten for 26 years, will retire at the end of March.

The company has named three senior managers for Seattle, its new base for North America, which was recently relocated from southern Florida and before that New York. Steven Franz is named as controller, Diana Akopyan product manager and Vicki Renne sales and marketing manager.
