IHG backs big MICE showcase in China

30% bigger MICE exhibition promised for IT&CM China 2012

A 30% bigger MICE exhibition showcase is promised for IT&CM China 2012. More than 300 international and Chinese exhibiting companies will fill exhibition space amounting to over 6,000 sq m. Around 50 of these are new, including Shangri-La Hotels, ClubMed, HNA Hotels & Resorts, the Switzerland Tourism and Geneva Convention Bureau and Dubai Tourism. Also making its debut at the event in a big way is InterContinental Hotels Group, whose 120 sq m space is the largest corporate booth at the event.
IT&CM China 2012 will be held from April 17 to 19 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre. The 2012 theme is “Advancing MICE and Business Minds”. This is the sixth instalment of the international MICE event, which seeks to “promote China to the world and the world to China”. It is described as the only event that features “a good mix of international and Chinese exhibitors […] to deliver some 400 buyers with a 50%-50% mix of international and Chinese buyers. The event is co-organised by TTG Events, a business group of TTG Asia Media.
