Indonesia Sukhoi crash due to “human error”

Human error led to SSJ100 crash, not technical problems

“Human error”, not technical problems, was the main reason for the crash of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash in May, authorities in Indonesia and Russia have concluded. The aircraft came down on a remote hillside in Indonesia during a demonstration flight, killing all 45 people on board.
The conclusion that the SSJ100 aircraft had no technical problems was made in a protocol signed by the Indonesian and Russian authorities, fixing an agreed position between the two countries on the investigation. A final conclusion is due to be published at the end of next month.
