Best month ever for Swedish airports

Swedavia passenger numbers up 6% during month
Passenger numbers at airports across Sweden increased 6% in July, with passenger volumes continuing at a record high. A total of 3,593,000 passengers used the airports – the highest ever recorded for a single month.
So far this year, a little over 22.5 million passengers have flown to or from one of the airports, a 5% increase on the same period last year.
Both domestic and international traffic are seeing greater volumes at operator Swedavia’s ten airports. Internationally, 2,706,000 passengers flew in July, up 6% year-on-year, while domestic traffic rose 7% to 887,000.
New records were set in July at the two biggest airports: 2,354,000 passengers at Stockholm Arlanda, the highest ever for that month, up 7% on last year; and 620,000 at Gothenburg Landvetter, the highest figure for a single month in the airport’s history, up 5% on last year. Visby Airport saw a 20% increase in traffic for the month, to 77,000 passengers.
