The World Travel Market, which launches in London today in its latest guise as the main global event for the travel industry, has a number of the hotel sector’s most senior executives speaking about timely issues in the WTM 2010 Hotels Program. The program includes speakers from the world’s biggest and best-known hotel chains, including Rezidor, Hilton Hotels, Jumeirah Group and Guoman & Thistle Hotels.
The program is spread across November 9 and 10 and starts with a master class by Chris Galvin, owner of Galvin At Windows, the restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane, on how hotels can launch restaurants as stand-alone establishments. World Travel Market 2010 is starting today, Monday November 8. Almost 46,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press, will embark on ExCeL-London for the four-day B2B exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry.
The WTM generated €1,320 million of travel industry contracts last year. The WTM Global Trends Report, in association with Euromonitor International, is launching the 2010 WTM Global Trends Report today. WTM 2010 will be the biggest-ever World Travel Market due to a €190 million expansion of ExCeL, the host venue. The event has a number of new features including the WTM Sports Pavilion and the WTM Technology Presentation Theatre.
