London Stansted Easter strike cancelled

Passengers can fly to London on Norwegian without disruption

Passengers flying to London on Norwegian and other airlines over Easter will be able to travel without disruption, as ground staff at London’s Stansted Airport have decided to call off strikes planned over the Easter break. As reported, baggage handlers were preparing to go on strike at Stansted, with 150 employees working for the company Swissport ready to walk out from April 6 until April 9. Swissport provides handling services to airlines such as Norwegian, Turkish Airlines, Thomson Airways and Ryanair.
Members of the GMB union say that workers’ wages could be cut due to shift changes, but the union has agreed to enter talks with Swissport later in April.
