Luxury German hotel chain bets on Egypt

The Red Sea resort of Hurgada will get a new premium ‘lifestyle’ hotel by the end of the year.

Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts, the luxury German hotel company that rebranded as Deutsche Hospitality in 2016, is bolstering its presence in Egypt with an exclusive new property in the resort of Hurghada.

The high-end Steigenberger Pure Lifestyle Hurghada will be opening its doors for business this coming November, to be run by Al Dau Development, an Egyptian real estate company, via a franchise agreement and will form part of the Mega Steigenberger Al Dau Resort.

This resort’s two existing hotels, the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach and Steigenberger Aqua Magic, are “already well known for their incomparable hospitality offering and stellar services”, the German company says.

The new property, meanwhile, “will present guests with a totally new dimension of luxury, with a suite-only offering. Home to 110 beautifully appointed suites, visitors will be guaranteed plenty of space and comfort.”

Shared pools
As for facilities, the new premium property will house “exquisite” restaurants as well as access to a private sandy beach with its own beach club. Guests will also be able to make use of all of the pool facilities at the other two Steigenberger hotels.

“Growth on international soil is highly important to Deutsche Hospitality. This new build will deepen our partnership with Al Dau Development and we are confident that the Steigenberger Pure Lifestyle Resort will turn out to be another complete success,” said Thomas Willms, who became the new Deutsche Hospitality chief executive only a few weeks ago.
