Elite tour operators are reporting a year-on-year increase in sales of up to 25%.
The annually held International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes is so elite, it‘s by invitation only. The world’s most high-class luxury travel specialists will be meeting there on 6-9 December to network and source new ideas for 2011. ILTM Cannes is the leading annual business-to-business event for the global luxury travel community. The world’s most sought-after destinations and unique travel experiences are showcased for international luxury travel buyers. And optimism is high in this elite travel sector.
“The high-end travel industry is reporting confidence in the face of an increasingly buoyant market, with elite tour operators such as the UK’s Elegant Resorts and Seasons reporting an increase in sales of up to 25% year on year as we prepare to meet at ILTM,” said Debbie Joslin, ILTM’s group exhibition director. Besides these two operators, other companies attending include Relais & Chateaux, The Peninsula Hotels, One&Only and Orient Express Hotels & Resorts.
Elite travel brand names from over 70 countries will be there, including around 300 new travel suppliers introducing authentic experiences that are fresh on the market. The “Ultratravel Forum” on 6 December will consist of two discussion panels to debate how to find high-yield travellers and how the demands of the luxury traveller are changing.
