Man charged with groping sleeping passenger

Passenger accused of sexual assault on US domestic flight
A passenger on an overnight Virgin America flight has been criminally charged with sexually touching a woman sleeping in the seat next to him.
The man, Veerabhadrarao Kunam, 58, from Visakhapatnam, India, now faces a maximum two-year prison term and $250,000 fine.
He was in an aisle seat on the flight from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey, last week when the victim, who was sleeping in the middle seat, awoke to find his hands massaging her buttocks and private parts and rubbing his bare feet against hers.
The woman changed seats with her male companion, and Kunam offered to buy him a drink and suggested everyone forget about the incident. A flight attendant then moved Kunam to another seat. Police were waiting for him when the flight landed.
