The group of luxury properties is offering exclusive experiences with Abercrombie & Kent at seven destinations.
An array of specially curated experiences awaits guests staying at a number of – initially seven – Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world, now that the group has partnered with luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent.
Offers range from culinary tours and fashion insights to art, adventure and sports. Each is designed to give guests “unique access to local experiences”.
Examples include an individually tailored street-food tour in Bangkok, prime seats for a New York Knicks game and meeting their star players, and a private tour of the Palace of Versailles.
Also on the list is a private viewing of da Vinci’s The Last Supper plus an exclusive dinner in the Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie – the same church in Milan where the painting is housed.
“A&K are a renowned global travel brand and these are unique experiences curated by them and exclusive for Mandarin Oriental’s guests,” affirmed Kristin Ruble, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s senior vice president for brand and experience marketing.
“A&K and Mandarin Oriental are old friends. For decades our guests have stayed at Mandarin Oriental properties around the world – enjoying its exemplary hospitality in the best locations,” added Geoffrey Kent, chief executive, chairman and founder of Abercrombie & Kent.
“This natural partnership will allow guests to experience the A&K difference – insider access that nobody else can provide, creating memories that last a lifetime.”
In related news, Geoffrey Kent sealed a strategic partnership last week with longtime friend and business partner Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, chairman of Silversea Cruises, to jointly acquire 100% ownership of Abercrombie & Kent for an undisclosed sum.
